A basic but substantial wooden composter kit made from solid pine wood (treated in a non toxic preservative which will not kill worms or bugs in the compost). The kit comprises one wooden compost bin and one wooden compost bin add-on module. The modular design means that you can add new modules to expand your compost bin should you need to. The panels simply slide out to allow easy access for compost removal. The system is very easy to assemble and does not require any tools.

Wooden composters are favoured over plastic composters because of their porosity, allowing the composting process to ‘breathe’.

Multi Stage Composting:
Double compost bins can also be used to separate two stages of composted material, for example; the first bin will contain new compost and the second more mature and ready to use compost. Transferring the compost from bin to bin will also aerate and mix your compost, which will help the composting process further:
