This wooden compost bin is designed for cost-effective low maintenance composting. Made predominantly from re-used/recycled timber and built by disadvantaged people and those with disabilities, it is an excellent example of how a product can maintain a healthy relationship with the environment and society.

	Small size 440 litres offering adequate composting space for around 1-3 people. If you have a larger than normal gaden or are using a bokashi bucket, you may wish to opt for the standard size.
	Slatted sides Air is an essential ingredient in the composting process. The slats allow more air to access your compost so you will not need to turn your compost as much. However the slats will not allow the compost to get as warm as a solid compost bin and hence can take longer to compost.
	Lifting front Makes emptying much easier than most compost bins. Simply swing the front panel right back and rest it on the top. Can also be built without the fixing kit if you prefer the front to swing freely.
	Wood is treated for long-life

Optional lids:
Two different lids are available for the Lift Front Compost Bin. The first is a wooden slatted lid that has been designed to fit snuggly on top of the compost bin in order to prevent animals from attacking your waste. The second is a water permeable lid that comprises a wooden frame covered with a tough woven plastic which allows water through but prevents heat escaping, providing ideal conditions for composting!
